February 3,2011: The marvelous Marvin Valentine, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist,passed away at his home in Las Vegas,Nevada on January 14,2011 at 52
years of age.A memorial service was held in Las Vegas.A funeral was held in Buffalo,New York where Marvin was born on March 6,1958 and where he was laid to rest beside his father.  Marvin was the co-lead singer and keyboardist for THE BAND AKA. Marvin also served as music director for Rebbie Jackson for almost twenty years.A foundation named in his honor will be established to give aid to working musicians.Gordon Van Dussen will co-chair the charity.Details will follow.


February 1,2011: The junket to MIDEM 2011 music conference in Cannes,France, was a success.The trip yielded several signings,acquisitions, and affiliations. See the Billboard magazine issue dated February 5,2011 for more details.
